Using your phone to create videos

You should never watch movies on your phone – as David Lynch so eloquently puts it:

But that doesn’t mean you can’t use your phone to make a movie or at least in our context a short educational video.

With the pervasiveness of YouTube we no longer expect the videos to be at a professional level. We do, however, want our videos to be concise and more personable.

A friendly welcoming video at the start of a course, or a snippet from a recent visit to a location relevant to your topic can really add to student engagement. Showing the real world application of your subject and making you appear more down-to earth and accessible (If you want that)

Just make sure to hold your phone horizontally.
